I am a fun-loving Christian woman who enjoys people, life, serving, entertaining and hospitality and helping people with something they need help in.
My greatest satisfaction or gratification is derived from seeing someone who needs help get the help they need.
I love to laugh and play with little people, I work well with teenagers and I enjoy working with seniors. I enjoy meeting and greeting with people - I am a hugger and I rarely meet a stranger I can win over with my smile and kind spirit.
I beleive in giving and serving in areas that really make a difference in one's life.
My hobbies/things I enjoy doing include bike riding, swimming, reading, cooking, barbecuing, entertaining friends, family and church members, traveling, fishing, quiet time, book cassettes, working large interlocking puzzles, doing arts and crafts, and other fun stuff to make you laugh such as board games (monopoloy, trouble, yahtzee, uno and other fun games).
I am very dependable, reliable, punctual, supportive, committed towards a mission, able to trouble shoot and analyze situations and problems, proactive and a DOER.
I have a grown son and one granddaughter who both reside in Chicago so I am free to travel to stay overnight at times and support caregiving. My mother raised two girls, my sister and myself and we both are hardworking and people of good moral integrity. I hold a bachelors of Science in Education (Workforce, Education and Development) and a Master of Arts in Education (Curriculum instruction). I love to learn and I love to teach others the importance and value of learning. I have functioned as a department trainer on two separate occasions and currently, I manage managers who manage hourly staff in a housekeeping department. I am desiring a change from this vocation and to get more in tuned to serving families and elderly people. I currently sit with a gentlemen on the weekend who has suffered a stroke and I am a part of his non-medical care team. He is making great progress but he still has a long way to go to be at 100.
My likes are many I just beleive in trying healthy things and if I don't like them I won't do them again however, I have a very open mind and I am willing to try new things, fun things that make people life, entertain them and are just good for the soul. My dislikes are dishonesty, and individuals who practice deceit, discord, and who bring unnecessary confusion to one's life. I am very upfront and cordial and considerate of all people including strangers and I really do beleive in giving to a person that I myself would want to receive and giving what a person needs (providing they are able to communicate their needs).
My friends and church members would say that I am a server, a giver, I have an open heart for the average person--I beleive in speaking to ALL people regardless if I am spoken to or not. |

Tyrone Forte |
I helped to care for Tyrone's mother about 4-5 years ago as she had to have personal and female care that Tyrone was unable to do for his mother. I worked third shift at the time and made myself available each morning for several weeks to cleanse and repack his mother's wound. She eventually healed and was good as new. |
