  About Me

Single mother of one boy, he's 11 sometimes going on 25. Raised here in San Antonio, my family was in. the military so we just settled here. Currently I am going to school for nursing and when all is said and done I want to be a pediatric psychology nurse. I have worked in the medical field for the last 12 years. With both family and just pediatrics, but I love pediatrics. I love reading and playing out side but not when it is really hot. I am a mother and will and can only treat every child as if they are like my own.

Colisia was employed as my medical assistant, and in that capacity she routinely performed numerous patient care duties that were vital in day-to-day running of my office. Colisia was responsible for triaging my patients, obtaining vital signs, determining the reason for their visit, and entering all of this information into a complex electronic medical record. Daily, she interacted with children of all ages and their parents, which required and endless supply of patience and understanding on her point. I never saw her lose her temper or act in anything but a completely professional manner with both patients and staff. Children loved her, and she put them at ease in a potentially scary situation. In addition to Colisia s direct patient care responsibilities, she would also help in our lab, performing basic laboratory procedures such as obtaining rapid strep and flu tests, and doing capillary blood draws for complete blood counts. She never hesitated to pitch in wherever she was needed in the office, and she was trusted with, and put in charge of maintaining inventory, and ordering many of our essential office supplies. Colisia has been a good friend, and an exemplary employee during the time that I have known her. She is wonderful mother to her son, and has always strived to better herself to provide for him. I can honestly recommend Colisia without reservation. She would be a valuable addition and asset to any potential employer.
