Hi my name is Alma Olmos. I am a middle child raised in the U. S since I was a baby. I have been a babysitter for 3 years now. I have taken care of kids from ages 0-11 months and 1-12 years old. I am a current youth director. I have been for 2 years now. During my senior year in high school I took a beginner and advanced Child development class to have better knowledge of taking care of children. I was also involved in an ROP (Regional Occupation Program) for 6 months which was basically a Health Care support service class where I was taught basic first aid. During that course I had hands on training at Pomona Valley Hospital. I am a responsible person and take full responsibility for my actions. My goal in life is to become a pediatric nurse. I love helping people in any way I can even if it is the simplest thing I can do. I worked for a maintanence/ janitorial company called Encironmental Control for 3 years as a weekend job while I was still in school just to make some money to help out around my house and be able to buy things I wanted, but the main reason was to save up little by little to be able to start college and not give up on what I wanted. I try to keep myself motivated to pursue my dreams. I try to keep organized and always have a positive attitude and just believe that I can do anything I set my mind to. Hard work always leads to succes no matter how far it seems. |
