  About Me

I am a dedicated, loving, & patient person. I have 25 years experience. I am a professional nanny. I have an associate degree in early childhood education. I graduated Valedictorian from Portland School for Nannies I have worked with children from newborn - to school age. I enjoy teaching. I enjoy doing projects. I am very creative. I have worked as assistant director / teacher for 8 years. I was in charge of 65 children and 9 staff, as well as preparing 10 children age 5 for Kindergarten. Every child is unique, every child is special and I love every child in my care as though they were my own. It's very important to me that children start off with a positive self image, therefore I teach self-esteem. I encourage children to find the good in themselves and in others. I am 1st aid and c. p. r. certified. I am also certified in water safety. I have been happily married for 29 years. We have 4 children, and 14 grandchildren. I have been a newborn nanny to 7 of the 14 grandchildren. We have twin grand-sons, born in June 2012. I care for them, as well as their 3 year old brother & their 2 year old sister, perhaps 2-3 times a week, depending on my schedule. Childcare is my calling in life. I find it is very rewarding. It makes me happy, content, and feeling like I have made a difference.
