  About Me

As a certified child life specialist with a master's degree in child life, I have been working with and caring for hospitalized children for the past 5 years, providing developmental and emotional support to patients and their families. My job responsibilities include helping children through difficult hospital tests, explaining illnesses at an age appropriate level, and running playgroups/individual recreational activities. I have a background in both psychology & child development and enjoy working with children who are both typically developing, as well as those with special needs. I have experience working with all ages, from infants to teens and most recently have been babysitting for a fantastic 3 year old girl. Families that I have worked with describe me as patient, playful and kind. I have a special interest in photography and would love to help you document your child's daily activities and special events or even teach older children about taking pictures. I completed a CPR/First Aid training course several years ago, as part of my training for work, but would be happy to take a refresher course if it was something that you felt was important.
