I have a diploma in childhood studies from England which is the equivalent to an associate's degree. During the three years I was at college, I worked in schools, nurseries, private homes and a hospital as part of my training. After college, I worked in two day nurseries with children aged from four months to ten years old. I supervised the toddler room for a short time, planning, implementing and evaluating activities for the children. I then came to The States and worked as an au pair with two girls aged two and seven years old. I was responsible for everything to do with the girls Monday to Friday, including, driving them to school, after school activities, laundry and cook for them. After my au pair year contract ended, I went back to the UK and completed one year of a three year BA degree in Education with Early Years, which I can complete at any time. I also helped out at a local primary school with children aged four and five years old. I wanted to come back to the States because I enjoyed my time as an au pair.
