My name is Carmen Yvette W.. I was born in (Panama Canal Zone). I have had the privileage of traveling throughout the United States due to my father serving in the United States Navy for approxiamately 30years. I was the middle child of five siblings. It is because of this opportunity that I had that allowed me to acquire an ability to become flexible and understand that regardless of where you live and whatever culture you embrace, that all humans have four essential things in common. (1)They all want to be loved and treated with respect (2) They all feel pain (3) They all cry and have tender hearts regardless of the hard shells that they may have put up to protect themselves and (4) with much compassion and understanding it can break down barriers to allow children and people to laugh and feel joy again.
I was the middle child of five siblings. I attended schools in Panama Canal Zone in addition to
Catholic Schools in Columbus, Ohio. I futher my education by attending (The Ohio State University) -
(Tacoma Community College) and graduated from (The Evergreen State College-Washington State)where I recieved my bachelor's degree in Education/Liberal Arts). I desire to eventually continue my education by obtaining my (Master's Degree) in Counseling/Theology.
I truly enjoy relaxing and having fun by reading bible stories to children, drawing, playing chess, basketball, walking and interacting with my husband and spending time with children.
I a truly an advocate for children. I hve been blessed to fullfill this calling from working in daycare centers, public school, nanny positions, and foster care throughout my teaching career. Some of my attributes are constantly endeavoring to provide a safe environment for children. So that they can have the opportunity in life to grow and develop at their own pace and still have the priviledge of enjoying their childhood. To continue to reach out to children that do not have strong support systems or the support systems that they have understand that it takes others with compassion that will pour into the lives of their children. To see the twinkle in childrens eyes and their hearts filled with joy and laughter as they develop and grow in a healthy atmosphere.
