  About Me

I have been caring for children ever since I was a child myself. I assisted my mother with the daycare she ran out of our home for three years during middle school. I also taught Sunday School, was a leader at summer day camps each year and babysat for individual families upon request.
During my undergrad program, which I started at San Diego State University, I babysat for 3-year-old twins for a year before I became a nanny for a family in 1998. At the time, they had a 1-year-old daughter. In 2000, the family moved to Phoenix, AZ and brought me with them. I completed my undergrad degree in English Literature at Arizona State University while providing part-time nanny services for their (then) 4 children. Near the end of my bachelor's degree, I accepted a full time position with the University of Phoenix and was only able to nanny for the children on weekends, as needed. I also began tutoring their oldest daughter (whose dream is to attend Harvard University) in English and Spanish, along with providing elementary level help with homework for her younger school age siblings. I was a part of their family's life for 14 years until my recent move to Chicago.
