Hi, I go by Jules. I love children and never had the pleasure in life of having any of my own. Thank Goodness My best friends made me God mother to their four children who I had the pleasure of being in their lives while they were growing up. I also have the blessing of three nieces who are in their twenties now. When all these children were young, I was always doing art or music w/ them. That's where you would find me at get togeathers. I also am a huge nature lover and grew up kicking around in the outdoors. I love the water, watersports, and am nuts about fishing. I have shared my passions w/ the children who have been in my life. All of them still talk about our fishing trips and ask when we're going again. My youngest Godchild just turned 13 and we have a sacred patch of woods that leads down to a creek we like to hike through. Everytime we speak, She asks when I am coming to visit so we can hike the woods.
I am a family girl. Love and Family are two of the most important things to me. I have old school values. I believe in things like honor, honesty, love, and happiness. I belive happiness is a choice and in being happy no matter what. I think that's something that comes w/ age. That and patience. Something my grand father taught me about. I believe kids need a lot of love, and patience. They also need our time and energy. Something as simple as just taking the time to listen to them, or read to them, or draw a picture w/ them. They need to know how magnificent they are.
I currently live in Jacksonville, Florida. I moved up from Tampa where I worked for a family for two years. I managed all household needs and assisted and took care of a twenty-three year old young man w/ cerebral palsy. I helped him w/ life skills, assited him in his basic needs. and helped empower him and build his self confidence. He on;y spoke about 18 words due to physical ability so I taught him the alphebet in sign language and we were able to increase his ability to express himself and communicate w/ the people in his life. You would not belive what a difference that made in his life.
I believe very strongly in being a force of love in this life. To come from a place of love and bring love to every situation and person I come in contact with. That's my goal. And to be of service in this life.
I have had CPR training and more, but it's been a long time, so I am not currently certified. I have the skills, but will get recertified if necessary. While in college, I worked at a cluster home for retarted citizens who were all non- ambulatory and many had special medical issuses as well. I completed a professional training program for this position as it was a new facility opening up.
I have references from family members of the last two families I worked for available on request. |

To Whom It May Concern:
Julie M. was a caregiver/ nanny for us for approximately two years. She is concidered by me to be a trustworthy person and extremely caring. I would highly recommend her to anyone: she truely cares for the people she is assiting. She mainly cared for my son with cerebral palsy and often went beyond the call of duty by helping me too. She is greatly missed.
Sincerely,
Donald R. Musick, Sr.
