I moved up from Tampa where I worked for a family for two years. I managed all household needs and assisted and took care of a twenty-three year old young man w/ cerebral palsy. I helped him w/ life skills, assited him in his basic needs. and helped empower him and build his self confidence. He on;y spoke about 18 words due to physical ability so I taught him the alphebet in sign language and we were able to increase his ability to express himself and communicate w/ the people in his life. You would not belive what a difference that made in his life. I believe very strongly in being a force of love in this life. To come from a place of love and bring love to every situation and person I come in contact with. That's my goal. And to be of service in this life. I have had CPR training and more, but it's been a long time, so I am not currently certified. I have the skills, but will get recertified if necessary. While in college, I worked at a cluster home for retarted citizens who were all non- ambulatory and many had special medical issuses as well. I completed a professional training program for this position as it was a new facility opening up.
