| I am typically easy-going, energetic, & happy. I am outgoing, love music/dance, reading, journalling, travel, & spending time with family & friends. I also enjoy cooking, gardening, & multi-media collage/art. I moved to Chicago 4 yrs ago to be closer to family here, but am originally from IA/NE. I have 2 dogs who are wonderful companions, & am an animal lover. Definitely a curious sort, who relishes adventure from time to time, & always excited to learn something new. Additonally, I consider myself optimistic, flexible, organized, & trustworthy. I think children need lots of love & patience, & an environment that supports their growth & discovery, while also providing boundaries. I believe in time-out, if it's warranted. I am affectionate, playful, creative, & will probably be having as much fun as the kids are having. I like to sing & dance, blow bubbles, get outside for walks/park adventures, & am an avid bookworm. | I began work as a nanny at age 19 in CT (1989). I worked through Helping Hands agency, Greenwich, CT, & was placed with 3 different families, for a yr commitment each. I worked as a nanny in Omaha for approx. 1 yr, in 1994-95. I moved to Chicago in 2003, & found work as a nanny in 2004, & am still working with this family. I worked with another family from Aug/2006 through May/2007. Primarily my experience is with infants & young children, in families with one or 2 children. I am also CPR certified. |
