Hi my name is Garret
I am 21 years old and originally from the great state of New Jersey. I moved here, about a year and a half ago, to pursue a degree in art at the University of Houston. I stopped however once I realized that college was not the right thing for me at the time. I dove head first into the work environment. Since them I have managed a small magic store, specifically targeting children, and worked as a waiter at a restaurant in the heart on the Montrose area. I loved working at the magic store and entertaining children but unfortunately it did not provide enough hours to support myself. The restaurant was higher paying but was not really my cup of tea. That is what brings me to this lovely website. I have always been able to handle children having grown up with two younger nieces and I also find it to be very gratifying to be that big of a part of a person life. Coming from a single home I know important it is to have a good role model present at all times. My mom is the best person I the world but she wasn't always there for me. I grew up having to learn a lot on my own. I don't want others to go through that. I want to be a great role model for children. I don't drink smoke do drugs or even eat meat, even though I know most people don't view the latter to be that serious. With that being said, I am still a fun individual who has enough energy to keep up with any child. I have never professionally babysat before but I am trying to break into the field and would very much appreciate an opportunity to do so.
Thank You |

I believe that a child should be comfortable with the person that's watching over them. That is why I will first and foremost try and connect with them. They should like me and like spending time with me. I am no substitute for a parent but the children shouldn't hate me either. Along with liking me the child should also respect me. I will be an extension of their parents and their parents rules. It is important for them to know that they will not be able to disregard what I and their parents believe is best for them. They will be punished when they disobey and they will be rewarded when they do something right. I feel that this method is the best way to help shape the a child's mind.

Justin Saunders
I worked under Justin as a waiter at El Real for about three months. The restaurant is located in the heart of the Montrose area. It is frequently packed during the weekend and only those who can handle the pressure can work there. He was the manager in charge or the restaurant. He taught me the most about the job and motivated me to always be better. He was no push over and would not stand for employe subordination. I inevitably quit El Real because I felt that being a waiter was not a good fit for me.

My aunt Michelle was the first to ever really put me to the test. She has to two darling children who are currently 15 and 9. I have known them all their lives and have been their favorite cousin for all of that time. That's no easy job seeing how there has been much competition for their love. I was able to build up their love and affection through babysitting them numerous times. I have fed them, changed them, burped them and pretty much done everything else under the sun.
