  About Me

Hello,

I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. I am originally from New York City but I moved to Stroudsburg, PA at a very young age. I am someone who loves to work with children as my work experience shows. I enjoy cooking, the Arts, and being outdoors. I also have a love for language as I am trying to learn French and Haitian Creole. I am able to speak conversational Spanish.

I am someone who is passionate about bringing stability to socially and economically disadvantaged neighborhoods. I also have excellent communication and teaching skills. I have worked part-time since I was a high school student and earned a reputation for being trustworthy, diligent and reliable. I am someone who believes that if given an opportunity we can all have successful futures, which is why I enjoy working in the human services field. I have worked as a progressive educator for about five years, which has allowed me to earn promotions and professionally grow. During those five years I have also done extensive work in curriculum development ranging in subject from English Language Arts to Sexual Health. My previous work experience has allowed me to make a positive impact in the lives of the youth I have served. I have learned how to act as a liaison between clients and organizations by earnestly seeking ways to maintain communication and positive relationships amongst all parties involved. I have acquired Business Development skills at LAT’RA enterprises for the past six years. By working in the human services field I have obtained experience working with people of different ages and backgrounds. In this field, I am challenged to be creative, enthusiastic, encouraging, and most importantly, patient.

My passion for making an impact on the lives of youths is what drew me to apply here.
