  About Me

I belong to a loving, caring, hardworking and God fearing large family of 8. I graduated college by supporting myself. I previously work in the government of the Philippines for 18 years. I came to this country last March of 2006 from the Philippines. I immediately worked as nanny (lived-in) in Texas's family for 3 years with 2 boys. Year 2009, I relocated here in New York and work again as nanny for 2 kids (lived-in). Since the family moved out to Los Angeles, LA, I found another family here in New York who lately moved to other country. My job to these families were basically on childcare. Fortunately, I included basic housekeeping chores like cleaning without being told when I have time because I don't like a messy atmosphere. I am active, caring, loving, calm, firm, playful to kids and try to mold them with good values in everyday living. In taking care of them, my first priority is their safety and good health. Since, I got married, I prefer to have a lived-out arrangement. Though, I can work late when necessary.

  Work Experience & Education Background

2 years experience, 2 references
Taking care a child depends on their age. Basically for infant, it includes changing diaper, feeding, giving a sponge or bath in a baby tub, put them to sleep (swaddled if newly born or sleep sack ), and talk to them. In about 2 years old or toddlers, help them to identify letters, numbers and play with other basic informational materials that would help them learn. Generally, I prepared food for them, fed them, got them ready when they went to school, made laundry for the kids, picked them up from school, brought them to after-school activities, arranged playdates and brought them to other kids' houses or playgrounds for that playdates, read books, gave them a bath and put them to bed. Clean up with them or clean up after them. Sometimes, I stayed late for them when parents went out for dinner or whatever activities they attended with.

I usually don't yell or scream to deal their misbehavior but I imposed time-outs and took out from them important toys when not listening. I also imposed reward system and praise them when they did good things as recognition to boost their moral.

Education/Training:

I graduated Bachelor of Science in Agriculture major in Economics in the Philippines. This course taught me how farms and farm products profitable to the area which law of demand applies. I also got the 6- months caregiving course in the Philippines. This caregiving course taught me how to take care the infant, toddlers or kids and elderly. Within the course, I had the First Aid training and CPR training. Most of the lessons I learned from school have applied in my present nanny/babysitting job. However, experience is really the concrete guarantee or assurance to know how to deal and take good care the kids in different situations.

The above named reference was my employer for 3 years as lived-in in Texas. He better knows me how I work, my personality and my presonal life being part of their family or house. The reasons for the termination of my employment was the end of my work contract.

I was working with them as lived-in. So, She knows better how I work and my capacity. The reason for the termination of my job was the family's relocation from New York to Los Angeles, California.
