  About Me

I am a college educated, compassionate and experienced child care provider. I love children and have always enjoyed my work as a babysitter/nanny/doula. I wholeheartedly agree with the idea that "it takes a village to raise a child" and look forward to continuing my work with families to raise happy, caring children. I like to encourage creativity and learning opportunities while also setting limits for children. I think it is important to work with the parents to make sure limits and activities are consistent -- this ensures happy parents and happy children.

  Work Experience & Education Background

9 years experience, 3 references
I have been babysitting since I was about 13 years old and started changing diapers when I was 7 (I am part of a large family). I love children and am very confident in my ability to serve as a warm, compassionate caregiver. Currently, I babysit fairly regularly for a family with two young boys (ages 8 and 5). I have cared for them overnight and for weekends while their parents are on vacation; take them to school functions, the park, museums, soccer practice, etc. We have a lot of fun together. I have been babysitting the boys for the past 5 years and think of them and their parents as extended family. I am looking to build this kind of relationship again. I have also babysat for other families in NYC since I moved here five years ago and for families in Rhode Island while in high school. I have wonderful references and would be happy to pass them along to you.

I grew up in Rhode Island and spent lots of time near the water. Through that I became a certified Lifeguard with training in CPR and First Aid. My official certifications have lapsed but I am very willing to take the classes again if that is your desire.

I would be thrilled to speak with you and learn more about the position and your family.
