I started out working at a daycare where I worked with all of the age groups, I primarily worked with the infants/toddlers. After the daycare, I was a nanny for an amazing family of 7. I had the pleasure of taking care of five beautiful children. When I started, the children were 12, 9, 4 and the twins were 5 months old. Today they are 24, 21, 16 and my babies will be 13 this April. I started as a live out and when they moved back home, to Philly, they asked me to come with them. I did and it was one of the best choices I have ever made. As the children got older, my role of nanny switched to nanny/household manager. I would set appointments, run errands and anything that they needed. The current position I have now is coming to an end. I have been with a family in Grosse Pointe Woods for almost 2 years. I have taken care of their son from the day they brought him home. They also have a daughter who is in school full time, so my time with her is limited. Aside from childcare, I do the grocery shopping, children laundry, taking the children to activities. I am not happy that my time with them is coming to an end, but their childcare needs have changed.
