  About Me

I love children and can not wait for the opportunity to be a parent myself. I enjoy being outdoors and encouraging learning through hands on engagement. A childhood needs to be nourished with a balance of learning and play; in reality they are one in the same.
I enjoy art; I love to paint and craft and would enjoy engaging your children in it. I find that creative expression is good for self esteem and encourages individual growth.
I work out and pride myself in my healthy lifestyle. You only have one body and it needs to be properly nourished to be effective.
I have four dogs and two cats. I love caring for them and playing with them.
I have attended college and although I have yet to graduate I did maintain a 4. 0.

  Work Experience & Education Background

0 years experience, 0 references
Although I have not been paid to work with children, I have volunteered with my mom at work. She is a head-start teacher for Genesee County Head Start. Working in the classroom with her and at home on projects for her class I have learned how to communicate with children in a kind and encouraging way. I have learned that every child learns differently and grows at their own rate. The key is to be encouraging and adapt to how each individual child learns and plays.
Outside of the classroom learning, I have a niece and nephew (3 and 1). I stayed with my sister and her children for several months in 2012 and in doing so I essentially played the nanny roll. I often helped pack diaper bags and carry kids and strollers to help my sister. I helped with getting them dressed, cleaning up after them and bathing.
