My name is Beth. I was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. I went to Catholic school from the age of three until I graduated from high school. My husband Dave and I got married in 2003. We have a thirteen year old son and three daughters, ages ten, nine, and six. We often go fishing as a family. During the winter and on rainy days we like to play board games, Wii, Xbox360 and put together jigsaw puzzles. I also enjoy gardening, reading, bike riding and cooking. Holidays are a big deal around our home, as everyone looks forward to my Thanksgiving turkey and my Christmas prime rib roast. I learned to cook by watching my grandmother and Alton Brown.. gotta love the Food Network. Since graduating high school, I have become a certified nursing assistant and a certified medication aide. I received my training for both of these in Omaha in 2005. I have actively worked as a CNA/CMA for the last 6 years. When I moved to Texas in 2011, my certification as medication aide would not transfer, but I am a certified nursing assistant in the state of Texas. I am also CPR certified until April 2015. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
10 years experience, 4 references |
I have four children of my own ages six, nine, ten and thirteen, as well as a sixteen year old stepson. My oldest daughter was born with multiple congenital heart defects. She required feeding through a nasogastric tube and had several surgical procedures done before she was nine months old. I learned how to place the tube in her stomach through her nose and did this for several months until she was strong enough to eat normally. I also have had to help my son and stepson manage severe Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. It has been a major challenge for both boys, but they have both been able to conquer the symptoms and be successful in school. My son has even been able to join his junior high school's UIL team for several subjects and place in the top five in each one. I have also acted as a nanny for various family members throughout the years while being a stay at home mom before my children were in school. |
