To whom this may concern, Ranisha C. is a delightful young lady. I have been her advisor since her senior year of high school. I have seen how she loved working with children of all ages. Children are what motivate her in life. She worked with children at the Gary Comer Youth Center five days out of the week when she was high school and even volunteer on weekends to go on field trips with the children when they wanted her to come along. She helped them when they needed help with homework or a personal issue. She never turned any child around. She keeps everything positive and let the children know that it’s not hard getting a good education; therefore they are motivated in continuing their education and talking about going to college even at the age of four. Even though she is off in college she still came home on breaks and volunteers to help working with the children. The children keep a smile on her face and she gives that smile right back to them. When she at school the children in the centers always ask when she coming home, that shows that she is good with the children. Letting her volunteer at the day care will brighten up everyone day especially the children. Sincerely, Tosha Downey Student Advisor

To Whom It May Concern: I was Ranisha’s academic counselor at NIU and have known her since 2007 when she first came to Niu. Her major was child development with a minor in psychology. She earned a 3. 1 /4. 0 cumulative GPA. Ranisha has worked at a youth center back at her hometown to mentor and assist school aged children their homework. She returns there during semester breaks to continue her mentoring relationships with the children. She also has overnight babysitting experience. Ranisha has volunteered at a day care center where she got to work with small children with varying social skills and cognitive abilities. This type of experience aided in her aptitude to adapt to various situations and needs of the children within the day care setting. She has accumulated work and volunteer experiences with children because she genuinely cares for their welfare and ultimately plans to become a pediatric nurse. She is a very kind and pleasant person. Every time I see her, she has a smile on her face. Ranisha C. is a proactive and responsible student. I have found that she is a determined young woman with a bright future ahead of her. She is easy to work with and loves to be around children; therefore I offer Ranisha C. my highest recommendation and hope that she will have the opportunity to work with you Sincerely, Passion Williamson Northern Illinois University ESP CHANCE Counselor (###-###-####
