  About Me

Growing up as an only child, I love being around children or people in general. I like how there is never a dull moment when working with children, you are always doing something. My first job was working at the YMCA. Growing up, I knew that I wanted to be a teacher, so working at the YMCA was a perfect opportunity to learn how to work with children. I worked the before and after school programs. I helped prepare meals, organize games and activities, and developed relationships with the parents. After working at the YMCA for a year, I started working for DASH which was ran by the YMCA. It was a 2-hour after-school program that had the children involved in group activities. I absolutely loved working with DASH until I decided to relocate to Durham to continue my education at North Carolina Central University studying Elementary Education with a concentration in Communication Disorder. Upon arriving in North Carolina, I started working at a daycare where I was a floater. I worked with 3-month-olds all the way to sixth grade. I enjoy working with the younger children and plan to continue doing so. After working at the daycare for a year I found a family that I could Nanny for. I absolutely loved working for the family until things started gearing away from the children. After searching long and hard I eventually found another family that I have been working for, for about a year and a half and I absolutely adore working with the family. I hope to continue my career as a Nanny and find a family that I can grow with and become part of the family.
