  About Me

Hi,

My name's Olivia H.. I live in Port Orchard with my husband Matt. I am a college student and enjoy aviation (I did my private pilot training in 2008), reading (I love classics and poetry), and music of all kinds (I play the guitar, bass, and flute), and coooking. I attended culinary school while in high school and love cooking different types of world cuisine. For a while I coached and competed sport fencing (and would love to get back into it soon), and also spent my childhood competing in equestrian events. I am originally from Australia and have dual citizenship, and have thoroughly enjoyed travel and experiencing different cultures my whole life.

I enjoy children and gain great personal satisfaction in being able to expand a child's mind through small every day things like reading, music, and art projects.

I don't have a car and driver's license, however on occasion I may be able to get my husband to drive if necessary. My schedule is wide-open and flexible to best meet your needs.

If you'd like more information, please feel free to contact me by phone or email at any time. Thank you for your consideration.

Regards,

Olivia H.

  Work Experience & Education Background

0 years experience, 3 references
My work experience encompasses a wide variety of fields and have thus gained a large array of skills, in addition to a myriad of experiences dealing with fantastic array of people from various backgrounds. I worked as a barista for Starbucks, a inventory reconciler and quality supervisor for Amazon. com's Bellevue warehouse, and an operations associate at Guitar Center. In addition I volunteered for the food bank in Port Orchard, and volunteered time tutoring junior high students new to America from Africa in algebra, geometry, and English.

While I do not have direct childcare experience, as a fencing coach I often led classes with children as young as 7. In addition, I consider myself to be educated, polite, kind, and VERY patient, and would love to set a good example for the newer generation.

Childcare experience within the following age groups:

Education/Training:
High School, Graduated High School or Equivalent, College
I graduated high school in 2010 (two years early. ) and simultaneously attended Olympic College and West Sound Technical Skills Center's culinary arts program (where I was a sous chef directing basic culinary classes for new, younger students). I received my private pilot training at Bremerton National Airport and hope to continue my education in aviation in the near future.
