I am a recent graduate of the University of Alabama with a BA in Anthropology and Studio Art. I just left a PC Support job through the University which I was at for 2 years, and volunteer at Moundville State Park as a museum guide. I love to teach others new things and open them to new experiences, especially children. I am a young, vibrant, and open-minded young woman with a large range of interests and hobbies.
I think that it is extremely important to keep your brain active, and that is why on a daily basis I complete word puzzles, number puzzles, create some sort of art, or anything that will keep my hands and mind steady. Though I enjoy these calm demeanor activities, I also am an active person that enjoys the outdoors. I have a knack for wearing out rambunctious little boys, but am great with all personalities, even the shyest ones. I have had much experience with this by volunteering with vacation bible school and Sunday school at my mother's church, as well as on the job at Moundville, and many babysitting gigs in the past.
I have a reliable form of transportation, love to cook, and am available any day, any time. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
|
|
6 years experience, 2 references |
Volunteer at VBS and Sunday school at Prince of Peace Catholic church in Hoover, AL for 6 years. My mother is a kindergarten teacher at the Catholic school, and I have regularly helped her each summer. She has a habit of passing unruly children to me, for I am very calm and collected, find the good in any situation, and try to exude the confidence that children look up to.
Volunteer at Moundville State Park for 3 years. I worked the children's tent at the Native American Festival, and gave museum tours year round. This gave me much experience with communication and education of children.
I have babysat in my hometown of Helena, AL since the time I was 15 for several different families. Age range from 1 and a half to 11. |
