I began babysitting at 14, and at 15 I was babysitting for church friends' children for 3-5 days at a time when our church had adult conferences out of town. I loved watching little ones but my father would not allow me to pursue a career in childcare because of all the weirdos out there. Several years later during the summer before my senior year of college I finally landed two part-time nanny positions. one family had 3 kids and the other had 4.. Shortly after moving to Florida I began working full-time for a family of 3 children with another one on the way, and I stayed with them till they moved out of state two years later. Then I got another full-time position working for a family with one newborn and lots of housecleaning. Two years later another baby came along and 9months after that they also moved out of state. Lastly, I worked full-time for a family with two children for two years.
