I am currently in my sophomore year in mercy college studying to become a nurse for children. My experience of caring for children was honestly a roller coaster in the beginning and smooth sailing in the end. I have babysat for family, friends and even strangers whom I got to meet in person. I have also babysat for as little as 1 year to 14 years old. I feel it's important to get to know the child(ren) first, because then I will be able to provide the best babysitting services ever. I have some experience with working in daycare centers with little children as young as 6 months. There's just this purity and innocence about children that I adore. I hope to become a pediatrician after college and, I think this will be a rather helpful experience to me because of the great deal of exposure I will have to children prior to working in a hospital. If you and your family are seeking a trustworthy, responsible, young adult with a bubbly personality and a great head on their shoulders, then I am your girl. |

My name is Nia, I am a college student at mercy college majoring in nursing. I know Many of you would like to know why I decided to become an nanny/babysitter. I wanted to become a nanny/babysitter because I love children. There's just this innocence and spirit about children that I just adore. Also, there's several parents within my area that deserves date nights, Day off's, and much more. There are also parents that need help with their babies, while they're working from home. I love to help others and I love teaching children new things, reading to them, teaching them how to write, and help them grow. This is why I wish to become a nanny. My Past childhood Experiences were great. Honestly at first, I was so
apprehensive about whether or not the family would like me, or whether or not I would fit in. Babysitting and being a nanny isn't an easy task, this comes with great responsibilities and these experiences also taught me how to compromise, Communicate, and be patient. To me, those three things are needed if you want to be a babysitter or nanny. Specifically, my recent experience in child care was from Jan 2014-May 2014. Within that time period I have babysat two children, they were three year old twins. Everyday from Monday to Friday I would pick them up from day care and after that, I would read to them to stimulate their learning abilities as I am very intelligent, and then we would go grocery shopping, after shopping I would prepare light meals, after the meals was nap time. While the children slept, I did some light housekeeping work. I will admit, I am not the perfect babysitter/nanny, but I take on tasks and responsibilities given to me, which helps me grow as a nanny/babysitter in the future. I look forward to speaking within families that may be interested in my nanny/babysitter services. |
