  About Me

Hello families.
I am a professional nanny and a Newborn Care Specialist with 13 years of full time childcare experience. I am currently focusing on my work with newborns as an NCS, however, please do not hesitate to contact me if you have older children-I love working with children of all ages. As a Newborn Care Specialist, I work with families to help with the following:

*gently get baby on a schedule that works for your family
*umbilical cord/circumcision care
*teach baby how to self soothe
*overnight care/sleep training
*breastfeeding support
*postpartum care for Mom
*reflux issues
and much more.

I have been passionate about working with children from a very early age. While studying Child Psychology and Early Childhood Development in college, I began my career as a professional nanny. I have had the joy of being a nanny to children ranging in age from newborn through school age and I find each stage of a growing child's life to be filled with wonderment and it's own special learning opportunities. I love engaging children of all ages in creative and educational activities while encouraging natural curiosity and the spirit of fun. In my career as a nanny, my responsibilities have included, but have not been limited to: meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping (relating to the children's needs), developing cognitive and physically stimulating activities and exercises, establishing nap and bed time routines, driving to and from school as well as extra curricular activities, national and overseas travel for extended periods, and nanny management for multiple nanny households. Additionally, I owned and operated a franchised nanny agency in the Houston area for 4 years before selling the business in time to welcome my own son into the world in January of 2011. I am always very respectful of parents' methods and values surrounding raising their children and take pride in providing your family care based on your wishes, routines, and needs. You will find that I am warm, energetic, organized and dependable.

I absolutely love cooking and baking, music, all things creative and being outdoors. I am very down to earth and have a light heart with a good sense of humor while always maintaining professionalism.

I look forward to speaking with you about how I can help you and your family.

Will provide family contact info upon request in order to protect family's privacy. Please find letter of recommendation provided by family below: To whom it may concern, Casey B. worked for our family from January 2012 until January 2013 and continues to help us for long weekends away, date nights, or emergency needs that may arise. Our son was six months old when she came to work for us. We didn't have any experience with nannies prior to Casey and weren't sure what to expect. From the very beginning, Casey went above and beyond our initial expectations and even exceeded what she told us she could do for our family. Not only did she care for our son but she also did small chores around the house when she had free time. We never expected that and were extremely grateful. She is an excellent cook. On average, Casey worked four days a week for us. She would pick our son up from daycare and care for him at our home until we returned home from work. Every evening she provided us with a detailed schedule of our son's daily activities and meals. Our son was always so happy to see her and sad to see her go so it was easy to see he was in good hands. Casey is a natural with children and she is a sweet and caring person. Casey’s last day with us was shortly after the birth of our second child when I decided to become a stay at home mom. Her help leading up to that birth was extremely beneficial. Whenever possible, she was always willing to help us out more if we needed it. She is a wealth of knowledge when it comes to children and babies. If I ever had a question or needed advice, she was one of the first people I turned to. We were extremely happy with our decision to hire Casey as our nanny. As a mother, it made me feel more at ease going back to work and knowing that my son was in good hands. Sincerely, Cassens

Family contact info will be provided upon request to protect family's privacy. Letter of recommendation provided below: May 1, 2013 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing on behalf of Casey B, who is applying for a position with your family. Let me assure you that you would be hard-pressed to find a better candidate to care for your children. In the time I’ve known Casey, she has truly become a part of our family and my trusted advisor. She has cared for my infant daughter, Harper, since she was just 7-weeks old. From the moment we met Casey, Harper took to her and has always seemed very comfortable in her care. As a first-time mother, to say I was apprehensive about trusting my daughter to someone else, is an understatement. But watching Casey with Harper and getting to know her for myself, the decision to use Casey was an easy one to make. Through the maturation of our relationship, I have come to trust Casey with my baby more than my own Mother. In addition to being a trusted care-giver, I have sought Casey’s advice and guidance with other matters pertaining to Harper: illness, feeding concerns, sleep training, etc. She is incredibly thoughtful with her responses and is always willing to help. Of Casey’s strengths—and there are many—her greatest is her calm demeanor. It seems nothing rattles Casey and I feel confident leaving Harper in her care, knowing Casey most certainly has it all under control. I understand the stress in finding the right candidate to care for your children. I can assure you, Casey is the right woman for the job. She is kind, generous, caring, dedicated, patient, and above all else GREAT, a true natural, with my infant daughter. I simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Casey. I sincerely hope that you are quick to offer her a position, as her warmth, attentive care, and inviting personality will be sure to endear her to you and your family. Please do not hesitate to contact me by phone or email if you’d like any additional information; I’d be happy to share. Regards, Vazzola
