I moved to plantation last week from Kentucky. I earned my bachelors of science degree in speech therapy from Western Kentucky University. I moved here to attend graduate school and get my masters for speech therapy. I have had many jobs but one of the best experiences I have had is working with children with autism and other similar things. I would take several children out into the community to eat, watch a movie or watch them at their house. I would run them to appointments, school functions etc for a company called Lifeskills which is hosted through the state of Kentucky. I was once CPR certified it has since then expired but with my mother being an RN (registered nurse)I am up to date on the most recent changed things with CPR. I also have a background in child development with language, speech and hearing. I enjoy being around children and have had multiple experiences in doing so. I only have night class on Monday and Thursday nights from 5:30-8:30pm. I am free any other day or time. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
|
|
3 years experience, 3 references |
I have two sets of twins in my family that were recently born. I have watched both sets multiple times alone while some of the family went out of town for a weekend trip. Me being 5 years older than my brother and some of my cousins when I was old enough I would watch them as well.
While going to school for speech therapy in my undergraduate I met children and since the parents liked what I was doing in therapy they wanted me to watch their children outside of the clinic. I took the role of taking them out into the community (some were disabled some were not). I did this job for close to two years until I recently moved for graduate school. We would go see movies, go to professional baseball games, the zoo, waterpark or anything to get the child out and about. |

I worked with her son for over a year. They met me at the clinic and then I went to their house to pick him up and helped him learn appropriate social and communication skills. I had to leave the job because I moved for graduate school. |
