  About Me

Hello. My name is Shawntay A., I am a grad student looking for part-time flexible work with families. A little about myself I have experience working with youth in a number of settings from teaching English in Taiwan (pre-school to middle school agers) to creating fun, creative, engaging weekly activities as an after school program assistant (small groups of k-6th graders) to one-on-one in home tutoring (adults and middle/high school students) to co-leading life skill workshops for youth in the foster care system (14-19 year olds) to planning and preparing weekly lesson plans in a public school setting as a special education assistant (k-4th graders with learning and cognitive disabilities), as well day-to-day administrative tasks such as contacting parents (via phone and email) to scheduling parent conferences, maintaining calendars for Special Ed. staff.

In addition, I hold a Bachelor in Social Work and I have more than 6 years of experience working as an office float at Riley’s Children’s Hospital where I learned all aspects of office administration. I quite a versatile worker with a range of skills.
