I am currently completing my bachelors degree in Recreation Therapy. By the end of December I will be a CTRS (Certified Recreation Therapy Specialist), as I have already passed the certification exam and am just pending internship completion. As a CTRS I will be able to design creative and educational activities for all age levels of children that your family may have. I have been babysitting since I was 12 years old, I am now 22. I have worked at camps for at risk youth, and am currently interning at Green Chimneys Therapeutic Day School, a school for children with special needs. I have experience working with children with special needs of all ages, both one on one and in large groups. I am an animal lover so any pets your family may have will be fine by me, and if I need to care for them, I am willing as well. I cook often, so if you're looking for someone who can make meals for your family, I can do that as well. |

I have been babysitting for my younger brother and three neighborhood kids from the time I was 12 until I was 19, their ages ranged from 3 months to 10 years. I worked at Braeside Camp in Middletown, NY, Braeside is an overnight camp so I was with the children 24/7. I currently am an intern at Green Chimneys Therapeutic Day School, working with children with special needs one on one up to about twenty per group. The children range in age from 6-21. I create activity and program plans often so I can come up with fun and educational activities for the children to do. I am also an Emergency Medical Technician and am CPR/AED and First Aid Trained. |
