When my husband got his dream job as a visiting professor in NYC, I left behind a career as a manager in the fashion industry to accompany him. This was also an opportunity for me to take a step back from the stressful environment of retail and live in a great city for a bit.
I love reading and watching a good movie every once in a while. I am also fond of museums, theatres and I am a bit of a foodie. I like to keep myslelf busy and so from the start of the New York adventure, I have been a regular 'New York Cares' volunteer.
I enjoy being around children and have some experience (when I was a student) of looking after them. I am fun to be around but also understand the responsibilities that are given to me as a child minder.
While I am not thinking of going back into the fashion industry, my longer term career plan is to move into the area of 'early childhood education'. |
