| I am a stay-at-home mom with my 3 year old daughter, and also have 2 feline sons. (Our neutered male cats. ) I live in West Mayfair in a lovely home, we are improving everyday. I am not CPR certified( will do soon)but I do know CPR. I have my cell phone with me at all times. I will take your baby even if you are breastfeeding and/or with cloth diapers. ( I did the same for my daughter). I have a swing, pack n play, etc here. My husband has a B. S. in computer science and works for Comcast, and I am 6 credits from my B. A. in business with a study in English. We are a Puerto Rican family and I am also part German American. My husband is bilingual, and I know English and basic Spanish. I ask you dropoff and pickup your child at my home. We may be able to bring your child home. My child care style starts with patience, and treating the child like a big person in a small body. Their opinion matters, and when they feel a part of something, they can learn and grow. Next would be stability and safety. Children have a keen sixth sense, and can pick up on anything. I believe in using a television as a tool for learning, not to babysit. We have all the Baby Einstein videos, and about 300 different childrens books. My daughter loves the flashcards. Proper healthy eating is a must as well. Playing, singing, dancing, reading, are all part of a typical day. We are starting arts and crafts, and learned my daughter can paint and read quite well. Lastly, anything that can get the children talking and excited helps, especially with a shy child. Most highly sensitive/misunderstood children are the most brilliant. |
