  About Me

At 13, I had a baby brother born, and from this point on I have been hooked. Although I have a very technical background in engineering, my happiness has always come from nannying and spending time in charity work with children. I am constantly striving to learn more about child development, health, exercise, and what parents/caregivers can do to improve the lives of their children. Laughing and hugs should be a part of a child's life everyday. I feel I am a very active, learning-oriented nanny. The children I spend time with become so special to me, as family, and I hope to look at the families I nanny for in this sense. Organized schedules but spontaneous activities and fun are essential for a happy, healthy child.

  Work Experience & Education Background

4 years experience, 3 references
Through college, I was 30+ hours a week with a family of two boys that were 6 weeks old and 3 years old. I was with this family for four years and I am still very close with them, but had to leave to work full-time in my degree specialty. The other two families I had experience with were twin boys (started when they were 7 months) and then 3 boys (starting with all three when they were 6 weeks old). I did light housekeeping, cooking, laundry, cleaning and organization, along with setting up play dates, potty-training, learning activities (I have done sign language and spanish education with toddler aged children). I absolutely love all the time I spend with children. I am always very energetic and believe that children that are challenged and loved are happy and productive.
