  About Me

I am a young woman living happily in Cambridge. I have ten years of experience teaching ballet to students of all ages and I absolutely love working with kids. I have a lot of free time during the weekdays when I am not out contra dancing or practicing aerial acrobatics and yoga, and I'd love to fill that time working as a nanny. In my spare time I sing and play flute and ukulele. I love to read and spend time outdoors. I am always reliable and believe it's better to be 15 minutes early than one minute late.

  Work Experience & Education Background

2 years experience, 3 references
I got my first job teaching ballet to 3 to 5-year-olds when I was 15 and since then I have worked with classes and private students, from a group of thirty 2 through 7 year olds to substituting for a class of intermediate adults ages 40-60.
I have also done bits of babysitting and helping out with friends' children here and there. I have also been a classroom aid working one-on-one with students with Autism for extracurricular classes.
I love to work with growing minds, and introducing kids to new worlds through books and imaginative play. I don't hesitate to enforce rules and good behavior gently but firmly, and I believe in giving children plenty of affection and positive feedback.

Childcare experience within the following age groups:
1 - 2 years, 2 - 5 years, 5 - 10 years, over 10 years of age, special needs children
Education/Training:
Graduated High School or Equivalent
I left school after 11th grade and acquired my GED in favor of dancing full time at a ballet training facility.
