  About Me

I have worked with several families and have experience with children ages 3-14 years old, as well as with special needs children. I am currently a senior in college and in the past two years have served as an RA and full-time camp counselor. I am comfortable speaking Spanish and would love the opportunity to use that in a job. I will graduate from college in May 2015 and will be returning to the Sacramento area for the next year. During this time, I'd ideally like to find a family to work with starting this summer until I leave for graduate school in the summer or fall of 2016. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I can only imagine that leaving your children in the care of another person necessitates trust and understanding, and as your child care provider I would seek to provide your children with an exciting year and treat them with the love, respect, and kindness they deserve.

  Work Experience & Education Background

6 years experience, 0 references
I have over six years of experience with ages 3-14, and have worked with a variety of special needs including autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, OCD, Down's syndrome, severe food allergies, emotional disorders, divorced households, and defiance issues. I have also been a full-time camp counselor and a Resident Assistant while in college. I currently hold a job tutoring reading and writing in a local elementary school.

As a future educator, working with kids is my passion. When getting to know a new family, I love to find a way to integrate my interests with those of the children. A little bit about me: I love reading, writing, exercising, and spending time outdoors. I am energetic, patient, organized, and punctual. I am from a small and very close family, and am eagerly looking forward to spending time back in the Sacramento area after four years out of state. I also speak Spanish and would love to find a way to utilize my language skills in a job.
