I am a warm hearted, kind, nurturing 26 year old from Reading, PA. I am actively searching for a fulltime nannying position in the Philadelphia area; I do have 10+ years of experience working with children ranging from the age of a couple weeks old to middle school age. I myself prefer infants/babies because I am definitely a cuddler, and Loveing on them throughout the day is just the best. I owe all my talent, and learning experiences from my mom; she literally taught me everything I know. Her and I have worked together as a team in our beautiful, in home daycare, for as long as I can remember; I owe everything to her. :)
I come from a very close, and loveing family. We have always been like that from little on up, and it will continue to stay like that for when I have a family of my own. I tend to apply the love I recieve from my family to the children that I care for because it is so warm inside. I am kind, warm hearted, nurturing, careing, sweet and of course fun. I am also very acommodating, well rounded, and committed. I NEED organization. I cannot deal with out of order, and stuff all over the place. I will go insane. That is when I will just take the initiative and start organizing toys, clothing, dishes, laundry ect. Look on the bright side, it will make your life a whole lot easier. :) I am very tidy, neat, clean, responcible, and organized. I enjoy going on outings during the day with the children, takeing long walks, playing in the park, singing, and dancing. Having fun, and seeing the smiles on their faces is what I strive for. If they are happy, I am happy.
My hobbies are freestyle dancing, dance aerobics as my form of exercise, spending as much time with my 1 yr. old puppy as much as I can; his name is Grey; I adore him. His breed is called a Morkie- a mix between a Yorkie and a Maltese. I treat him like he is my child, I just love him to pieces. I also enjoy going out with my girlfriends, looking pretty for a night out on the town and seeing where the night takes us; and forca little R&R long walks on a pretty trail with my pup knows just how to relax me.
An attritbute about me that has changed my life, is working in an Autistic Support Kindergarten classroom. A BIG self contained classroom, holding a maximum of teeny tiney eight, crazy, beautiful, intelligent-in MANY different ways- amazing, little but big hearts of students. I started working with them in October, 2010 to present. I adore the children in my classroom, but becoming a fulltime nanny incthe City of Brotherly Love is my passion. It takes a certain special someone to care for the type of children who require extreme patience, delayed speech, constant redirection, the will power the ignore problem behavior and baby like attention that they crave, that you just want to give them to nurture, and love them. I believe this really has me stick out above all the rest. I go above and beyond, and I believe that is why children and I always form a special bond to the point where we get drawn to eachother, in a careing, nurturing relationship. Your little one/s would always be in good hands, no need to ever worry. Thank you for this generous opportunity. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
|
|
10 years experience, 3 references |
10+ years expereince working with my mom in our beautiful in home daycare.
-infants/babies/toddlers (feeding bottle, swaddling, rocking, burping, warming breast milk, measuring formula in bottle, cleaning bottles, doing babies laundry, puttling babies clothing away, feeding baby food, keep on schedule, help potty train. Etc)
-5yrs to12yrs (engage them in social play, take them on outings, take to extra curricular aftivites, sing songs, dance, go for walks, play in the park, play dates, monitor them while they swim: certified lifeguard, shopping outings, assist with homework. Etc
I currently nanny for a family who have a 9 year old little girl, they are a Jewish family, and they are great. I love takeing her places with me, and she loves going with me as well; we enjoy doing everything together. In the summer I take her to the pool, or we will go to the movies, sometime we even go out to lunch together. :) Those are examples of some outings that we do, unless we have appointments scheduled that day; such as the doctor, or a certain errand we need to run for her mom. Etc. Her schedule does change when school starts, I pick her up at 4:00pm at her bus stop; then drive her to her extra curricular activies, which is Mon-Fri, and I will be with her until about 7:30pm.
Since I am looking for a fulltime position now, I will no longer be working for this family anymore. so this will not be in the way, or cause an issue. I am putting this down as part of my professional experience. |

Additional Experiences/Qualifications/Preferences: |
The only concern I keep thinking about is health insurance for myself. I keep reading in nanny articles that the family normally pays for the nanny's health insurance. That will will be my ONLY and most likely EVER preference. Otherwise I have all that I will ever need right here. |

Joanne Detwiler |
Please feel free to contact Mrs. Joanne Detwiler, she said she would be willing to talk to anybody about a reference for myself! I watched her two boys from the time they were babies, until they went off to kindergarten. The total years working for her, I believe would have been 7 or 8 years between the 2 boys ageing up to kindergarten age. Her boys came to my house because she would drop them off before work, but they were still my responcibility; she only lived 4 minutes away from where I lived at the time. It was always a thrill watching her youngest! A very bold personality. Yet her oldest, so reserved, gentle, and sweet! Love them both to pieces! she is a great mom, and a great person to work for; I wish I could do it all over again. |
