My name is Darina and I have a deep love for children. I am a 25 year old woman living in North Williamsburg who grew up in NY but has lived in a rural setting; Amherst MA. I do not have a Family of my own but come from a large family full of children, cousins, aunts and uncles etc. Some things I enjoy doing are hiking, yoga (I am a certified yoga instructor), studying mythology, philosophy and religion and I absolutely love singing (when no one is around. My main Hobby is studying Religion and Mythology. Someday, I hope to speak and read both Hebrew, Ancient Egyptian (or Coptic) and Aramaic so that I can read scripture myself. But to talk about my love for children, it comes from growing up with such a massive family so I was always surrounded by little ones. Moreover, my mother was a Head Teacher for a Non-profit daycare that took the children of incarcerated mothers and ensured that upon the mothers release their children would arrive back into their arms. This non-profit was wonderful and I loved it so much -believe it or not- I began volunteering for them after school at the age of 12; it helped that my mom was overseeing all of this. The other teachers however were astonished with my maturity and ability to connect yet, guide and assist the infant-toddler students. My ability to deal with children was then well rewarded when I turned 15, and was able to get working papers for the summer, they asked me and my mother to get working papers and hired me right away. Every summer after that I worked for Hour Children inc. and when I turned 18, I continued working for them for a short while until I started another job. Despite my career shift, my love for children has always remained and I am happy to now discover this so that I can make my return to it.
