| I love working with children. I know every nanny says this but I truly do. When I wake up in the morning I look forward to going to work not alot of people can say that. I always remember the way a child can bring a smile to my face and heart everyday and that is why I am a nanny. I can't imagine what my life would be like if It didn't include children. The highlight of my day is when a parent walks through the door and a child says what a great day they had playing in the park or baking cupcakes with me. Being a nanny is not just a career but my passion and calling. I was born to be a nanny and love everyday "my kids" are near. I am open to all parenting styles. I tend to follow the parents lead and try to adapt my nannying to what the child is familar with. I believe that children thrive with love and consistancy which is what I strive to provide with all children that have been under my care. |

I am a 26yr old woman living in Parkslope, Brooklyn. I have been a nanny for 8 yrs now. I love it this is my career I am not looking to make a quick dollar and leave. I like to work with a family for as long as they need me. I believe that it is the best thing for the child to have one nanny to be able to form a strong bond and feel safe. I truly love all the children that have been under my care over the years. I take pride in the fact that I am a nanny. I have a very important job to nurture and help raise a child. I know how to get down to the childs level and play with them. I really enjoy going outside to the park, zoo's, playdates, and other activities.
My area of expertise is with newborns and infants. I have volunteered at the NY Methodist hospital for 2 years and have had extensive hands on experience with newborn/infants due to the fact that many of my nanny jobs have started soon after the birth of a new baby. I am able to stay calm and care for a fussy or colic baby. As well as reduce and ease the stress of a new mother. While this is what I do best I am more then willing to take cake of a toddler or young child. As my resume will state that I have worked with a range of children.
