  About Me

I am a divorced Mother of 3 teenagers. One who is out on her own at the age of 19, a son who will be 16 at the end of April and lives with his Father because he enjoys attending Mercer Schools and I was located in a different school district at one time. I also have another daughter who will be 18 in June who was living with her father but has since come to live with me and will be having her 1st child on her 18th birthday. We curently reside in West Middlesex and just very recently moved to the area so everything is very new to us. I have done childcare for 25+ years and have even own my own daycare in the past. I have had my background checks down many years so obtaining they will never be a problem, as I have never had any offenses against me. I love being outdoors and believe that activity is great for children to learn and all outside adventure is a learning experience. I am not a fan of television nor video gqmes, however I do undestand children love them sometimes and if the parents don't have a problem with it, I will permit an alloted amount of time to do such activities. I am a Certified EMT with CPR certification and also have Life Guard Certifications that have expired. I am a very outgoing person and put the needs of others before myself, and believe that children are the life of our future. I do believe children should have discipline in their lives however there is a huge difference between that and abuse. I will NEVER raise my hand to a child that does not belong to me and I also have never had a child lose respect for me because of uncontrolled yelling. We as disciplinaries must gain respect to receive respect from children or they will never listen to us. I truly have learned this in the 25+ years of caring for mine and other parents children. I have had alot of angry and frustrated parents because their children would listen and behave for me but never do what they asked, however it was due to a mutual respect we had gained. Even at very young ages. It is very obtainable with patience.

  Work Experience & Education Background

10 years experience, 5 references
As I had stated previously, I have 25+ years of child care experience. I have worked with newborns, toddlers, preschoolers, school age, adolescents, preteens, teenagers, even intellectually and mentally challenged young adults. I have cared for infants and toddlers with Downs Syndrome and all ages with Other Special needs including but not limited too Ashburgers, Seizures, Feeding Tubes, ADHD, and many other Behavioral situations. Each child is unique and should be treated as such. No child will ever be like another so every situation is a new experience. All children are special and deserve to be loved no matter what the circumstance may be. They never asked to be brought here the way they were, so they should not be treated as if they are in any way a problem to any here. All children no matter what the problem is a blessing, a true gift from God, and if the sense that you feel that and know they are loved, they will then live you in return.
