  About Me

I am a 35 years old young woman. I am married to a wonderful chef, not because he is a good cook but he is overall a great person and matches my personality. I have a twelve years old daughter who is at the age of Attitudes but we have an understanding on that big 'A'. I am from a large family so I am no stranger socialization. I have tons of nieces and a few nephews so I have experience both personally and professionally in the arena of child care.

I am sociable, easy to get along with and loves to communicate. I am reliable, flexible and work on my own initiative. I am very smart and I have alot of experiences in life to write a book.

I love children.. I treat each child entrusted in my care as my own. I love being a nanny, care giver and a teacher. It's good to love what you do or it won't work out. The most important thing is I do love what I do so my job as a nanny is very rewarding to me. My childcare style is two simple equations:

PATIENCE + PROPER COMMUNICATION RESPECT

RESPECT + HAPPY CHILD SUCCESS

I beleive that a child learns what is being taught by an adult. If an adult shouts, demands or even physically constraint/punish a child then what do you expect from such an equation? A DISRUPTIVE and UNHAPPY child. I use Time-out as the most effective method of punishment, taking away something that he or she loves and not giving in until they learn from it. I have a wonderful and happy daughter, we may not always see eye to eye on most matters but I don't have to smack her when she is doing/has done something wrong, most time all I have to do is just to look at her and she knows I am not please. I do not have to shout all the time. I do sometime but eventually catches myself on it. I hate to see parents behave harsh with their child. I am told quite often that I am very tolerant. I guess it's my virtue right beside patience.
