I have lived in VA going on 6 years. My husband recently retired from 20 years in the Marine Corps and is now a Deputy Sheriff for Stafford County.
I have 2 children, Collin (16) and Emily (10), who are my world.
I worked in the Banking Industry for 14 years prior to taking some time off to acclimate my family to civilian life after my husband's retirement from the USMC.
I have a Boston Terrier and a cat, both who keep me pretty busy.
I absolutely LOVE children; their energy, their imagination, helping nurture the possibilities life has for them.
I lead a very healthy lifestyle and do everything I can to instill that in both my own children. Free time with them usually involves various activities outside (weather permitting), traveling to DC or just finding new places to explore. We do a lot of crafts and activities inside as well (mostly with my 10 year old). Neither I nor my husband smoke or drink and are consistently teaching our children the negative effects of what drugs, alcohol and smoking will do.
I made the decision not to get back into the Financial Industry and to pursue something more rewarding. Caring for children would fill that more than any other career path.
I am extremely respectful of parents' own style and what they want for their kids and I would follow it every step while offering my own care, love and protection for them. |

Work Experience & Education Background |
|
|
10 years experience, 3 references |
While not in a work-related sense, I have over 30 years experience caring for children. I come from a family of 6 children and countless nieces and nephews. Many of which I helped raise during their younger years. I have 2 children of my own (16 and 10).
When caring for others children, I feel it is extremely important to stick to the parents' guidelines, their style, to stay consistent. All while also offering the closest care, love, support and protection to their children in their absence.
