  About Me

Hi there :-).. I am Dani from Germany, and I am 24 years old. I am a open minded, outgoing, responsible, healthy, friendly, smart and humorous person. I have been in the US since October 10th 2005. At the moment I live in Bethesda, Maryland with an awesome family, and I take care of 2 great kids. Their ages are 3 and 6. I have been with my current family for almost three years, and enjoyed and loved seeing the kids grow up. I was an Au Pair for two years, and now, I am studying FULL-TIME at MC in Rockville since January 2008. I just started my second semester. My current family is in no need of help anymore, since the kids are both in school/pre-school. I love to do activities with my kids such as going swimming, playing outside, helping with homework, baking cookies, going to Starbucks, driving them to activities, and a lot more. I am a really energetic and positive person and enjoy to work with kids. I love to travel, make friends, go to the movies and a lot more. In my free-time, I spend most of the time studying and meeting up with my friends. I am trying to get my major in ASL (American Sign Language), because I think there are people out there, I would love to communicate with, and it would be nice to make new friends in the deaf culture. As I said before, I just started ASL, so I am still learning :). I am also taking a CPR, First Aid, and AED class, because for me it is important to know, how to act/react in an emergency situation (especially when you work with kids). In Germany, I finished my education as a kindergarten teacher, and mostly worked in orphanages. It was hard, but I really enjoyed it.

I also have experience in taking care of infants. I babysat a lot for a family with a newborn, and the girl I am taking care of now, was 11 month when I first got here.

Since I am planning to become an ASL interpreter or ASL teacher, I would love to finish college here in the US. So, I would love to find a family who is lovely, respectful, warmhearted, open minded and funny. Please remember that I am here on a student visa and I have to take at least 12 credits a semester.

I am a good and save driver, and feel comfortable in all traffic situations. I have never been in an accident. I also have my MD driver's license.

If you need a reference from my current family, I will be more than happy to pass it on to you. If you are interested, you also could call, and talk to my host parents yourself.

I can move either mid Dec 2008, or in the beginning of Jan 2009. I am going to Germany to visit my family from Dec 23rd-Jan 6th.

So, that's it for now.. y questions? Let me know, I will be happy to answers your e-mails and questions :)

Take a look at my photo-album while on my profile :)

I am looking forward talking to you soon. :-)

greets dani
