  About Me

Early experiences in life make you who you are. My interaction with children has been among my most beautiful experiences. My love for children is part of who I am. Children have this way about them that takes my breath away - their innocence and just being who they are. Children are so natural. They are very honest, accepting, and pass no judgments. I have this special way with children because I can relate to them as, in them I see myself.
As a teacher as well as babysitter, I mentor children in focusing on the potential that lies within them, to become all they can. Socially the children are guided to become comfortable with self and friends. By practicing being gentle and respectful of one another they thereby create a peaceful environment to develop language, through open communication with friends; being allowed to express their feelings and knowing it is fine to feel the way they do; learning to love one another and work together; being given the opportunity to make independent choices to develop the confidence and belief in themselves. I tell the children “if you think you can- you can and no matter what; never ever give up”. I help them gain patience in what they do along with enjoying the journey of learning.
I believe it is important for a child to become aware of all humanity. Seeing the value of giving and helping makes a difference in our world, especially in the lives of our friends in need. It helps open the children’s eyes to develop in their hearts the same love and compassion for everyone in the world. With this in mind, I put together projects to help children and families get involved in programs like UNICEF and Toys for Tots, as well as a food and clothing drive.
My philosophy is to help children see the beauty and love within and around them, allowing them to be who they are just as they are. I believe this can be achieved by nurturing the child in developing love, acceptance, compassion, awareness, trust, respect and peace in self as well as their friends and the world.
