  Work Experience & Education Background

5 years experience, 3 references
My name is Amanda T., I am a 23 year old female living in Bensonhurst Brooklyn. I am a non-smoker, non-drinker and non- drug user.

I have 5 years experience with children ages newborn to 10 years of age. I am a very outgoing, pleasant and happy person. I am a strong believer in taking time with children to see what it is that they need or want and more so to get to know them.

I worked for to Manhattan families. Both had a family of 3 children.

The 1st family was ages newborn, 5 and 7 years of age. I did for the family as follows. Light house keeping, light cooking, feeding the children and bottle feeding the infant. Taking the older ones to and from school and walking the baby with me. Taking walks to the park with the children and with the baby I introduced flash cards (with consent of the parents) and colors and baby Einstein videos. Which made the baby happy and stimulated. With the oder children I helped with homework and set up and supervised paly dates, Aswell as game time and story time.

The 2nd Family had a family of 3 children newborn, 2 and 10. I did for this family has follows. House keeping, some cooking, gym class with the younger child. walks, play dates and we did a singing class. The older child as we did play dates, piano classes and was taken to a from school by me - I helped with homework and we were very good friends. With the baby I also did some flash cards and color stimulation. I did feedings, diaper changing, bathing and putting the infant to sleep.

I do not just look to be a "nanny" I want to be a friend. I want to be someone the children can trust and feel good to be with. I want to help them if they have a problem and if I cant I like to also grow a bond with a parents so we can talk about the child/children and a house hold if and when there is a problem or just to talk.

With all the children I always kept a happy soft toned voice, no yelling. I believe it gets you know where and children like a clam voice (I think). I am very active with the children - I am not a couch potato or on the cell phone the whole time. I am a active nanny I am always doing something. By chance if the children are in school or asleep I am more then willing to do some house keeping and cooking or running to the market... I also have NO PROBLEM doing havey house keeping.

Thank you so much, and I wish you the best,
Amanda T. (###-###-####
