Treshika is the Community Engagement Team Facilitator for the United Way in Jackson. The United Way of the Capital Area, Alignment Jackson, and Operation Shoestring are hosted a Middle School Leadership Retreat from April 14th-17th. The retreat was led by the Jackson Public School High School Academy Ambassadors. I was called in as a young adult counselors to assist with chaperoning youth throughout the weekend. I ended up impressing the United Way staff and doing some major team building, and youth development among both the middle and high school students as a big sister, yet authoritative figure. It was an awesome experience.
