  About Me

I am a student at USF. I have a wide range of experience with children. I have a large family that includes thirteen children and have been actively involved in the up bringing of three of those children. I have been employed as a nanny in the past. I was employed by a family of two girls (now ages 11 and 7). My responsibilities included providing light meal preparation, tutoring, and providing physical and emotional care. As a young teenager, I also worked in my family’s childcare center. I am no stranger to children and the requirements of caring for children. I love being surrounded by children of any age. I intend to earn my degree in Special Education. I strongly believe that children with special needs, whether mentally or socially, need unique care, understanding, and a good environment to thrive. I hope to provide special needs children with these ideals. I strongly believe that every single child should have a loving and accepting environment where he or she is able to express his or her self freely. Children need move to explore their individualities; however, children also need a structured environment where to learn what is right and wrong. Mostly, children need good role models in adults. I truly believe I am and can be the role model children need. I have a very flexible childcare style. I try to collaborate with parents on how to care for child. However, I expect children to be respectful and listen to directions. Mostly, I try to provide children with a creative, yet structured environment.
