Having raised 3 children of my own, I love caring for children. I have extensive experience in child care. I was a licensed day care provider for 2 years, active in the Rosemont Babysitting Co-op for 15 years, and babysat a 5-month-old in 2017/18. Currently, I teach 7 children ranging in age from 5-1/2 to 7-1/2 years old once a week. Additionally, I come from a family of 12 and helped raise my younger siblings.
I am sympathetic, loyal, perceptive, innovative, energetic and resourceful. I am not afraid of hard work and am skilled in all aspects of baby care all the way up to pre-teens. I can organize a household, cook meals, plan parties and transport children to and from school and activities.
I am able to reflect children's feelings in words so that they can more readily learn to express themselves. I am also able to negotiate with, persuade, sympathize and empathize with children as well as parents. I am creative in teaching children arts, crafts, and sewing. I am highly detail oriented, utilize effective time management, and have a proven ability to prioritize tasks. |
