My name is Loni. I have been in the child care profession for many years. I chose this career due to loving children. I take great pride in helping to raise and guide children so they can be grow to be the best that they can be. I wanted to go into the catering field but it was not reliable for a steady pay check. I was offered to help my first employer with her son until I found a position in the catering industry. I enjoyed caring for him and making a difference that I stayed for almost five years and changed my career to child care. |

Work Experience & Education Background |

I am writing to find a Nanny position. With over 30 years of experience caring for children ranging from newborns to teens, I am looking for a position that I can commit to for the long term. I understand that the last few years, I have not been with a family long term but that has been due to children no longer needing fulltime care and/ or due to families moving. It is my goal to find a family that I can commit to and be with for many years to come. I feel that that is better for the children under my care and myself.
Throughout my extensive career, I have cared for multiple children of varying ages simultaneously, always tailoring activities and routines to suit each child's developmental stage. While I have broad childcare experience, I have recently completed a basic skills assessment for Newborn Care Specialists and bring specialized expertise in infant care, including creating sleep routines and performing tummy time exercises to aid in physical development.
I am adept at engaging children in educational activities, such as structured play, workbooks, and learning apps, that contribute to their intellectual and social development. My meal planning skills emphasize nutritious and balanced options to support healthy growth, while my organization skills ensure a harmonious home environment.
Communication has been key in building lasting relationships with the families I have served, aiding in everything from sharing daily activity logs to handling emergencies with poise. I am certified in First Aid and CPR, have passed the INA Basic Skills Assessment for Nannies, and have completed additional courses on CSA and Trafficking with Stop the Silence. I possess a valid driver's license and am fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Beyond my core skills and experience, I am proficient in integrating educational software into childcare, keeping children both entertained and educated. My ability to handle household chores and run errands offers added convenience for busy families. I am also passport-ready, allowing for flexibility in travel-related care.
In summary, my deep-seated commitment to encouraging a child's physical, emotional, and intellectual development makes me the ideal candidate for a family's long-term childcare needs. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to a child’s growth and happiness and look forward to discussing how I can best serve a family.
