When I turned 15, I decided to become lifeguard certified. I was then hired onto Fellowship Church's full time Allaso Ranch camp summer staff (I was the youngest staff member that summer). While working there I participated in camp counseling, activity planning, and kitchen duties, along with life guarding, for which I was originally hired. Once the summer was over, I was in need of a job and promptly hired by Lifetime Fitness as a year-round lifeguard (again, the youngest ever to be hired on their staff). When Lifetime's aquatics department needed additional swim lesson instructors, I was chosen to participate in that as well and am certified in their Uswim course. When I turned 16, I was certified as a Water Safety Instructor (WSI), also for the city of Grapevine. Overall, I have three solid years of life guarding and swim lesson experience, along with 5+ years of various child care and counseling experience.
