  About Me

A little about myself:
I am a very friendly, caring, loving, easy going, casual, happy, outgoing, organized, and energetic person. I love working with children and their parents. I enjoy teaching children age appropriate things. I took and passed a course for Childcare Management. It was interesting to learn all the things that I didn't know as a mother myself. I have a eight year old, who is the best little boy ever. He will be turning nine in March. But no worries I do have a very strong support system. Meaning there is always so here to take care of him while I work.
I believe that all children can learn anything, if it is taught the right way. They just learn things in different ways. Teaching children age appropriate things is always the best way to go about teaching. I believe that a child should never be spanked, that there are better ways to deal with misbehaving. Such as timeout, less outside time, or even something as little as taking a favorite toy away for a little bit. I really enjoy getting down to the childs level to play or teach them something. I love to go on walks to the park or even take them to the zoo, so they can learn about all the cool animals. I like to let the children do arts and crafts, outside play, indoor play, read, and just learn all the things there is to learn. I believe that there is a time for everything, such as playtime, eat time, nap time, and learn time. I think that if there is a routine to follow it helps everyone, not just the child(ren). I think the best way for a nanny, child(ren), and parents to work together is by, communicating, organization, planning, and agreeing on things. It is very important that there is communication between the nanny and parents.

A little about my childcare experience:
I worked for one family a little over five years. I started working for the family not to long after she had her first child. I worked for the family for a little over two years when she had her second child. From there I worked with the family a little over three more years. We became pretty good friends. I feel as if her family is a part of my family. I still keep in touch with her till this day. My son and her children became friends as well. Next I worked for a daycare for over six months. At the daycare I worked in all of the rooms. Anywhere from the infant room to the school aged room.
