  About Me

I am a freshman in college. I have always considered myself very optimistic. I plan on becoming either a pediatric nurse a nurse administrator, or a midwife. I am double majoring, nursing with behavioral sciences emphasizing in psychology. I am going to be very successful in life because I always set high expectations and goals for myself, and achieve them. My family means the world to me. My friends are my support system and I hold those who are my true friends close to my heart, and I will be one of the best, and most loyal friends a person has ever had. I love my life, and I don't take anything for granted. I believe everyday is a gift from God and that we should cherish every moment we're here, good, bad, or otherwise.
I love working with children, and I have a lot of experience doing it. Families I watched in Ohio, before moving to Utah were very sad when I moved, and have told me that their new nannies or babysitters just are not the same. I love to have fun with the kids I am watching. I normally get attached to the children on a deeper level, and grow to love them as my own. Children love me because I am fun, energetic and outgoing, but I know when to slow it down before things get too out of hand.

  Work Experience & Education Background

2 years experience, 5 references
As far as working as a nanny, I worked from July 2007-December 2008 as a part time nanny in Ohio, before moving out here to Utah to continue my nursing degree at Weber State starting this fall. I also was a full-time nanny for a summer for 3 boys ages 2, 5 and 8. I have volunteered with handicapped children basically my entire life, due to the fact that my older sister has severe cerebral palsy. I also volunteered during the summer of 2007 with international children at a foster care agency. I have been babysitting since I was 11, and was certified through Children's Hospital as a certified babysitter.

Childcare experience within the following age groups:
Newborn - 3 months, 3 - 12 months, 1 - 2 years, 2 - 5 years, 5 - 10 years, over 10 years of age, special needs children, twins, triplets
Education/Training:
College, First Aid Training, Certified Nanny Training, CPR Training
I went to a visual and performing arts prep school from 5-12 grade, where I studied visual art and violin performance. I would love to share those interests with children. During high school, I received 14 credits worth of college coursework due to my AP studies. I did a semester of school at BYU-Idaho, before transferring to BYU-Salt Lake City this last semester.
