| I love children, which I guess is a good start. I have also found that children respond well to me. I try to be positive and happy. I do feel like happiness is a choice, so my mannerisms and outlook on life is a reflection of that viewpoint. I adore fashion and fancy myself a secret fashion designer. I love sports and being active, but I also love the times when I can sit down and relax with a good book. I like to create a dynamic between myself and my children where they feel free to be creative and adventurous and where the parent knows that his/her child is in safe, competent hands. As a nanny I believe that each child should receive the care that I would provide to any child of my own. While it is important to respect the boundaries set forth by the family, I strive to develop a personal relationship with each of the children I care for and I take joy in aiding in his/her overall growth. I am a firm believer in childhood exercise, so I try to encourage age appropriate physical activity. I also take a strong interest in the educational development of my charges and am able, if so desired, to provide tutorage in English, Reading, History, Math and P. E.. Nutrition is becoming more and more important and I know that good eating habits are formed early and then must be maintained. With that being said, I love to cook and am able to provide well balance, nutritional meals for the child/children, and even the whole family as requested. I am used to working with children of all ages and temperaments. I am able to provide childcare to up 5 children at a time and hope to soon be part of maybe your family. |
