  About Me

I have over seven years of experience working with children in the home and in a school environment. I have experience with infants as young as ten months and children as old as twelve years. I also am fortunate enough to have over two years of experience caring for and educating children who have autism. I love taking care of and educating children. I love to play and I enjoy all of the activities that I get to experience with children. I love to be their friend, but it is also important that they respect me as an adult as well. As a nanny I teach children to love themselves and believe that they are special and capable. Encouraging the development of their self esteem is critical and I focus on that always. Staying current on where each child is at developmentally is something I do on my own time in order to plan appropirate activities. I keep children very busy and I wouldn't have it any other way. There can be down time and activities can be leisurly. I love my job and I am great at it. Nothing is more rewarding than changing the lives of children. Relaxed, structured, activity oriented, and out of the house. I am very involved with the children, not only the "supervisor", but the participating adult as well.
